The client wanted a website they could manage and update themselves. It was decided to use Wordpress CMS as it is very good at suppling information in blocks which suites their business.
When coming up with a design I was aware that there was going to be a lot of information on the home page and the trick was going to be keeping down so the page didn't become cluttered. I decided to use jQuery carousels so that a lot of information could be contained in a small amount of space.
Once I started laying out the information on the page, I decided to put a map next to the main body text on the home page that could show their current and future developments, I had decided to use google maps to do this. I ended up creating custom code using the Google maps API and PHP so not only two different coloured pins could be used on the map but it was easy for the client to add new pins.
